Here is our little Observatory  finished in late 2007. Made on a tight budjet from treated pine, Compressed fibro board and a Roll off Corrigated metal roof. Roof rolls on old aluminium pulleys and upside down angle. Roof is firmly secured when not in us with 4, 1/2" bolts in each corner. This little observatory can quickly be unbolted from the stirups and the outside roof support disassembled for easy relocation to a new site.

Here is our setup as of December 2007.

Pier mounted Losmandy Gm-8 with my homemade 6" f/5.6 newtonian in a side by side arrangement with a 70mm refractor for Autoguiding. The guidescope sits on a custom made adjustable platform for easy guidestar location.

Attached is my old Canon 300D which was Modified by removing the standard UV/IR filter and replacing this with a Baader Astronomical UV/IR filter. This has been now updated to a Canon 20D.

At the Moment I am in the process of making a new 8" f/4.6 newtonian which will replace the 6". Stay tuned!
